FAQs
-
MicroLED in Package (MIP) is an advanced display architecture where microscopic LEDs are packaged and mounted directly onto modules, offering higher pixel density, improved durability and better thermal performance. MIP enables ultra-fine pixel pitches, like 0.78mm, making it ideal for 4K resolution in compact display sizes such as 135”. MIP also supports superior contrast, brightness and color accuracy compared to traditional SMD (Surface-Mounted Device) LEDs.
-
Flip Chip is an LED technology where the LED die is flipped and bonded directly to the substrate without wire bonding. This design improves thermal efficiency, reduces electrical resistance and enables higher brightness with better reliability. SiliconCore’s use of Flip Chip allows for brighter and more efficient operation and reliability in finer pixel pitch displays like the Iris 0.78mm MicroLED.
