The SL5012 is a four-channel laser driver that
provides controlled current to a grounded laser
diode.
The level of the output current is determined
by the voltage setting onto RSET, W1SET,
W2SET, and ESET.
The channels enable pins at W1DIS, W2DIS,
and EDIS determine current waveform timing.
The output write current pulses are enabled
when a low is applied to these pins with
switching speed less than 0.8 ns rise/fall time.
One on-chip oscillator can provide up to
400MHz modulation to the output current. pin
OSCEN is held high to turn on the oscillator.
An external resistor connected to ground from
AADJ or FADJ sets the oscillator’s amplitude
or frequency.
The total output current is the sum of current
from the four channels and the oscillator.
There is a whole chip enable pin ENBL
needed to be high. And complete LD shut-off
is achieved by holding ENBL low.
The SL5012 is available in 16-pin QSOP
package. |
