12th October, Silicon Core Technology (SCT) participated in the 10th China Hi-tech Fair 2008 held recently in Shenzhen, China. In the Fair, SCT promoted its new SL8018A LED Driver IC for applications in the LED Display Panel industry and held "LED driver IC technology seminar" on 13th October, which was participated by more than 50 engineering representatives from its customer base. All engineering representatives showed a great interest in our high performance-cost product.
SCT demonstrated superior performance of its SL8018A in areas of better data transmission and better antistatic, lower grey-scale response and lower dissipation.
1. Lower Grey-scale response:
With clock frequency of 18 MHz at a 8192 grey level, the SL8018A driver IC showed color distinction by human eyes at grey level 9 whereas other renowned driver ICs response becomes distinguishable only at grey level 15. SCT driver IC has a better performance at lower grey-scale, enriching the video effects of LED panel with natural, real and closer-to-life colors.
2. Better Data Integrity during Transmission:
Existing receiver card transmits data through single channel via Din and Dout of the driver processor with a cascade transmission mode. When 12 driver ICs are cascaded, under clock frequency ranging from 18MHz ~ 21 MHz, SL8018A driver ICs was able to display images well, while other renowned driver ICs failed to display at 18MHz.
3. Better electrostatic resistance:
According to HBM test, SL8018A could resist 4000V electrostatic discharge; 40% higher than the industry standard.
4. Lower power dissipation:
The SL8018A driver IC can reach 60mA when operating at 3.3V core voltage. |
